About the Perfume:
Inspired by the fleeting whiff of an angelica bouquet gathered after the rain, Jean-Claude Ellena's creation plays out like a subtle chamber music arrangement. Deceptively simple, Angéliques sous la Pluie merges with the skin of the person who wears it. Made of the spicy and tonic notes of angelica roots, juniper berries, pink pepper and coriander, this composition lies on a bed of musk and cedar wood softening the whole to create a comforting caress. A splash of emotions.
About the Perfumer:
Born into a family of perfumers in Grasse, Jean-Claude Ellena learned his trade at age 17. From Grasse to Paris, via New York and Geneva, he attended the most prestigious laboratories where he saw himself as self-taught. Very much influenced by Edmond Roudnitska, he writes short and not very concentrated formulas to reinforce the subtlety and expressivity of his compositions. Inspired by everyday life, Jean-Claude Ellena likes saying that “perfume, a matter of smells, is a poetry of memory, and foremost a creation of the mind.”
