Viride, an essence with a green, strong and intense character. Frequent trips to Yemen in search of natural ingredients for his fragrances have deeply impressed and inspired Gualtieri in the creation of this perfume. Here he met a new civilization, culturally rich and profound, but also decidedly primitive; in Yemen, men have the habit of adorning their heads with fragrant crowns made up of an intertwining of various aromatic herbs and flowers. These colorful floral garlands are worn both for pure frieze and with the aim of spreading a pleasant aroma around them that distracts from the heat. Despite their fondness for wild flowers and plants, the tribes of Yemen are notoriously violent and engaged in cross-border battles; even the military forces have no access to these particularly dangerous areas. Viride embodies, at the same time, the stimulus of power and the strength of tradition, the dark side of each of us and the garden of knowledge that we cultivate and live every day, where plants grow spontaneously developing strong and authentic roots.
Viride, whose name derives from the Latin "green" is an aromatic perfume with intense Mediterranean notes, such as rosemary, sage and thyme. Viride is rich in smells that recall in the collective imagination the scents of freshly picked aromatic plants from the garden and which represent both the most intense virility and the most daring femininity. The key sensations of this fragrance are: green vividness, universal virility, aromatically Mediterranean.
The cap, as in all Orto Parisi fragrances, is solid and heavy, made of metal and subjected to different alchemical processes, embellished with an inlay that is different each time, composed of elements of natural origin and selected on the basis of the fragrance. In the case of Viride it is made of metal with a gold-colored finish. It is adorned with an inlay of Ecuadorian Guaiac wood, a type of wood used to make some elements of sailboats. Thanks to its density, strength and oiliness, Guaiaco, also known as “lignum verde”, is a wood with green and brilliant shades suitable for humid environments.
