BYREDO

Inspired by his connection to Africa, particularly through his father's travels and years spent there, Ben Gorham conceived Bal d’Afrique as both an imaginary journey and a celebration of Africa's profound cultural impact on dance, art, and music.
This reinterpretation heightens the contrast between Bal d’Afrique's fiery lightness and irresistible depth, intensifying its gourmand qualities for a richer and more captivating experience. Notes of bergamot, lemon, and blackcurrant unleash a vibrant intensity that blends with the sweetness of praline, musk, and violet, culminating in a powerful base of cedar, vetiver, and warm black amber.

Beyond the fragrance, the new Absolu de Parfum bottle is also a tribute to craftsmanship. The tactile cap is inspired by Yakisugi (the Japanese art of wood charring) and reflects the essence of Absolu, characterized by profound intensity, transformation, and enduring strength. With its industrial gold and silver design, the spray complements the simple design and clean curves of the glass bottle. Inside the bottle, the intense shade of Absolu de Parfum offers a visual clue to the fragrance's rich concentration.
